Dr. Nancy Korenek Leveque, Diplomat ACVS, received her veterinary degree in 1985 from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She then went to work for a private equine practice for about two years. In 1988, Dr. Leveque entered a three-year veterinary surgical residency program at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee. She completed a three-year residency in 1991 and became a board certified surgeon.
Dr. Leveque has worked for private practices in Oregon, Washington, and Texas. Until 2003 she was primarily a large animal surgeon, then after the birth of her daughter, she changed to working as a small animal surgeon. She is very passionate about devoting her specialized surgical skills and work ethic to VCSS. She currently lives in Tualatin, Oregon with her husband, daughter, and three dogs, enjoying family life, playing tennis, gardening, and horses.
